Searching For Her Family Part 1
Sunday, March 21, 2010
This is the first in a series of links to a story of a friend of mine. Vanessa is 34 years old, has been parted from her family for more than 30 years, and all she wants is to know who her family is.
Please take a few minutes to watch each part of her story as it comes out and comment on it. Without comments they will not continue the story.
This is a perfect example of adoption gone wrong. This is what some face in the name of adoption.
Somewhere in India there is a family still grieving the loss of a disappeared daughter.

Vanessa does not know her real age but believes that she was born sometime between 1966 and 1969. That would make her in her early 40s, not 34.
Her story is not just about an adoption gone wrong. She wasn't relinquished (willingly or unwillingly) or abandoned - she was KIDNAPPED.
A crime has been committed and still there are people who want to hide behind "sealed records" because an adoption was involved.

Gaye I have been waiting to see if the TV station was going to bring more of this to light. I'm guessing not. I can think of nothing more intimate to me than my name, my age, my birthdate. I can't imagine not knowing these things.

A story like this needs to be aired on international tv! My heart breaks just thinking of her story! Great postings!
